Style, Comfort & Versatility is my footwear anthem, and shoe boutique Two Sole Sisters did not disappoint. In this fun interview, sister-owners Laurel and Lindsey Tate give us the dish on summer sandals to keep feet sexy, stylish, and oh so comfy.

BBS: I love your philosophy on mixing comfort with style – how have you translated this to your top picks of the season?

2SS: We love looking sexy in high heels, but no woman looks sexy hobbling down the street wincing in pain from ill-fitting shoes. That is why this season we love hidden platforms that add height without the stress on the instep and wedges with memory foam in the foot bed. We believe you do not have to sacrifice comfort to look fabulous!

BBS: For those of us who love a sleek silhouette, which sandal styles help to visually create a leaner, longer leg-line?

2SS: Any style that cuts low on the foot will elongate the leg and give the appearance of gorgeous gams! We love the nudes and naturals that FarylRobin displays this season. Not only do these hues create the illusion of length, they style well with all outfits. Strappy sandals with an open instep look sexy and show a lot of skin, therefore creating “foot drama.” They look amazing with a flirty summer sundress or denim.

BBS: Speaking of “foot drama”, eye-catching embellishments are hot this season! What fun embellishments can we expect to see poolside & on the streets?

2SS: The “bling” we love this season comes in the form of large stones that add sparkle without being ostentatious. We are carrying fringe for the boho customer and our girly-girls are loving bows this season.

BBS: What top sandal trends will Two Sole Sisters carry this season?

2SS: We follow trends loosely and adapt them to our Colorado woman who wants style and comfort. We are not afraid of color in Colorado; sandals this season range from purples and greens to oranges and reds. Muted metallic has been a hot trend that allows women to dual purpose their footwear. You can easily transition from day to evening with many of our platinum, gold and bronze sandals.
